New Pictures

Here's a picture of my scraproom when I was building it and some other pictures of cards that I took at the new scrapbook store, Crop Girls when they opened just a few months ago! Not sure how that picture of my son a few years ago got in there...!

It's Friday!

A whole week has gone by. Wow. Well, it's been a good week so I'm not complaining! I've taken 4 of the Digiscrap 101 classes/tutorials and have four respectable layouts to show for it. Better yet, I'm learning enough about Photoshop and Photoshop Elements that I'm not intimidated anymore. These are top-notch tutorials that can realistically be completed in one sitting. I make sure to gather photos of my own for the layout before I start the lesson (I peek ahead to see the layout). What's really neat about these tutorials is that you download all the class materials ahead of time so you have the exact files that the video uses. Of course, you can use those over and over.

The other really neat thing this week is that two of my friends are doing some of the ScrapbookingClasses live, online classes with me! I love this one because you are IN the class with several other people and you can all chat together. Only the instructor has a microphone and webcam on so you can hear and see the lesson! There's always a layout sketch available before the class so you can gather all your stuff and scrap along!

Finally --- am I anxious for the superbowl (lowercase intentional)? No! Am I anxious for Crop Girls to open up? YES!!! Grand opening is one week away! Yea!!!!! I can't even wait!!! How cool is this? We'll have a/an LSS!!!!!!!

Under The Gun!

I'm finally well in progress with my Christmas scrapbook project. That's right, I'm a little behind! I'm making 26 scrapbooks for everyone in our church bulletin stuffing ministry. I'll post pictures soon, but they're all the same mini-book with the same pictures. Each one though is embellished and arranged differently. It's a chance to "do it over" 25 times. Ha!!

New Blog - 1st Post

This is my first post in my first blog! This is a project that I am using as I homeschool my 6th grade son - he's creating a blog as well, so we're learning together.

My blog will be mostly about scrapbooking and other, related things. Hope you continue checking back to watch my progress!
